🎧 Al Booth Brings Beverley’s Club Scene Back to the Airwaves

Former BBC and commercial radio broadcaster Al Booth is bringing a wave of nostalgia to Beverley FM with his new show, Off To Parkers. The weekly program will celebrate the music and memories of Parkers nightclub, which was a staple of Beverley’s nightlife from 1998 to 2005.

Booth, who has worked with Viking FM, Trent FM, and the BBC, calls this project a "small victory for local radio." The show will feature classic dancefloor anthems from Steps, The Vengaboys, and other late-90s and early-2000s icons. Listeners can also expect stories about Parkers' influence, including its role in launching the careers of radio personalities JK & Joel and Stephanie Hirst.

Booth hopes the show will transport listeners back to the nightclub’s heyday, evoking memories of packed dancefloors, neon lights, and unforgettable nights out. “For those who danced at Parkers, this will be a time machine to some of the best nights of their lives,” he says.

Off To Parkers airs every Thursday from 8-9 PM on Beverley FM. Whether you were a regular at Parkers or just love a good throwback, this is one show you won’t want to miss!
