🚀 Spotlight Story: Must-Read This Week! 🔥
🚶♀️ Bishop Burton Footpath Project Underway! 🚲
Big changes are coming to Bishop Burton! A £1 million project to create a new footpath and cycleway between the village and the Kilingwoldgraves roundabout begins this month. This much-needed upgrade along the A1079 Hull to York road will provide a safer and more accessible route for pedestrians and cyclists.
🔹 Work starts: Monday, 17th February 2025
🔹 Completion expected: Early August 2025
🔹 Path width: 2.5m, extending to a new service station near the roundabout
🔹 Improvements: A new Toucan crossing on Dog Kennel Lane, extended speed limits, and potential future expansion towards Beverley Westwood
The work will be carried out by PBS Construction Ltd, with temporary traffic lights and speed limits in place during construction. 🚦 Councillor Paul West praised the project, highlighting its role in enhancing safety along this busy route.

🗺️ Tourism Master Plan Unveiled for East Yorkshire!
Visit Hull & East Yorkshire (VHEY) has launched a tourism master plan to attract more visitors, boost local businesses, and strengthen the regional economy. The plan, backed by Hull City Council and East Riding Council, aims to support 1,700+ tourism businesses and create more jobs.
