The East Yorkshire region is steeped in folklore, with tales of hobgoblins, dancing fairies, and waterwights playing a key role in local myths. A new exhibition at Beverley Guildhall explores these legends, from the mysterious Barguests to the eerie Rudston Monolith. One tale claims that circling Wold Newton Howe three times may allow visitors to hear fairies singing. The exhibition, "Hidden East Yorkshire," runs until May 10 and is open on Wednesdays and Fridays. More

The Good Life Comes to Beverley 🎭🌿

Beverley Theatre Company will stage a live adaptation of the classic BBC comedy The Good Life at Beverley Memorial Hall from April 30 to May 3. DIY SOS to Build Youth Venue in Beverley 🏗️💙

Cherry Tree Youth Club, which has been without a home since the pandemic, is getting a new venue thanks to BBC’s DIY SOS. The build will start on May 14 at Mudhills Park, with local volunteers and tradespeople encouraged to help. More
