🌌 Mysterious swirl lights up the skies over East Yorkshire
Skywatchers across Hull and East Yorkshire were left stunned on the evening of March 25 when a glowing spiral appeared in the night sky. The swirling phenomenon, captured on video and shared widely, was later identified as a fuel dump from a SpaceX rocket launched earlier that day from Florida.
The spiralling effect occurred when leftover fuel was released in orbit, creating a visible plume due to specific atmospheric conditions. Because the UK was in darkness at the time, the swirl stood out dramatically against the night sky. The event was visible across the region and drew excitement, confusion, and speculation. Locals shared footage and photos with media outlets, sparking conversations about its origin until experts weighed in. More
